With this change it is important that you are aware that to receive financial aid, we require a final, graduated transcript be sent by your high school directly to Parkland. Financial aid cannot be disbursed to you until we receive that transcript from your school.

If you are an international student - we will need an unofficial high school transcript in its original language as well as an English-translated transcript as provided by an official translation service.

Residency Classification

ALERT!!

You can only submit a change to Residency Classification by itself.

Students may request for their Residency classification to be changed to In-District by providing copies of the following documents:

Illinois Driver's License/State ID or Voter's Registration/Receipt of Registration that was issued within District 505.
Lease, mortgage, or rental agreement confirming local address for at least the last 30 days.
Letter from an in-District employer or paycheck stubs that confirms employment for a minimum of at least 30 days while not attending classes and averaging at least 35+ hours per week.

Change of Residency Classification must be completed and approved within the first 30 days of the first day of class for a regular semester or 15 days after the first day of class in the Summer.

Financial Aid Acknowledgement

Identification
Since you are changing your legal name or your residency classification, you must upload a valid copy of your driver's license, state identification card, or passport showing your current legal name.

*For those changing residency, the identification must have been obtained in District 505 and you may substitute a voter's registration or receipt of registration in place of an identification.

Change Legal Name - Court Order
Please upload the document that ordered the name change such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, court order, etc...)

Change Residency - Address Verification
Please upload a copy of your lease, mortgage, or rental agreement showing an address in District 505 for at least 30 days.

Change Residency - Employment Verification
Please upload a letter from employer verifying employment in the district for at least 30 days averaging 35+ hours per week. You may substitute paycheck stubs in place of a letter. If you are submitting multiple pay stubs, please merge them into one document and then upload that document here.
