Summer Start is a paid, hands-on career exploration program for students in Unit 4, Urbana, and Rantoul school districts. High school and homeschooled students entering 9-12 grade in Fall 2026 are invited to apply. This program is hosted at Parkland College.
Summer Start 2026 will run from June 1-June 11.
Rising Juniors and Rising Seniors attend Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Rising Freshmen and Rising Sophomores attend Monday - Thursday from 1p.m. - 4p.m.
**Activities will vary depending on what grade you are in.
