The Aviation program is a selective admissions program. Students must be admitted to the Aviation program before they can start taking Aviation-specific courses.

Assessments
Applicants must have established the following assessment levels in English, reading, and math PRIOR to submitting this application:

Attain college-level reading, college-level English (eligible to register for ENG 101), and place INTO MAT 072 (Math Literacy). Assessments can be taken at our Assessment Center anytime they are open, typically 8 am to 2:30 pm, Mon-Fri. No appointment is necessary. Alternatively, assessments can be attained through past academic history. Please email admissions@parkland.edu for guidance.

Students who are non-native speakers of English must establish English proficiency through the internet-based (iBt) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with the following scores at a minimum:

TOEFL Overall - 85
Listening - 22
Speaking - 26

Licensing
Students must possess a Class 3 or higher medical exam ination by an FAA-approved physician. For assistance in locating an approved physician, consult the FAA Physician Locator.

Non-U.S. citizens must obtain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) authorization through the TSA Flight Training Security Program (FTSP).
